DAY 1: CUSCO, QUISHUARANI, CUNCANI AND YANACOCHA
We’ll begin our adventure by collecting you from your hotel bright and early in the morning and embarking on a journey via private transportation to Calca, where a hearty breakfast awaits. From there, our path leads us to the trailhead nestled within the Quishuarani community (3750 m/12,303 ft). The trail gracefully ascends through the valley, revealing stunning views until we reach one of the area’s picturesque lakes.
As we continue our trek, the terrain becomes more demanding, leading us to the day’s highest point, Hullquiqasa (4200 m/13,779 ft), where breathtaking panoramas await. After soaking in the beauty of the landscape, we’ll descend to a tranquil waterfall, where a delicious lunch will be served.
Following our meal, we’ll journey onward to the traditional Quechua community of Cuncani (3700 m/12,139 ft). Beyond the village, we’ll establish our camp for the night beside the serene Lake Yanacocha, ensuring a peaceful and memorable evening surrounded by nature’s splendor.

DAY 2: YANACOCHA, WACAHUASI, MANTANAY AND MISKYUNO
An early rise greets us this morning, beckoning us to embark on a journey filled with discovery and adventure. Our path stretches ahead, promising a significant distance to traverse. As we tread along the trail, we’ll ascend to the pinnacle of our trek, the majestic Wacahuasi Pass (4600 m/15,091 ft), winding through the picturesque Wacahuasi valley.
Throughout our journey, the landscape unfolds to reveal a living tapestry of history, with homes crafted from stone reminiscent of Incan architecture. Along the way, we’ll have the privilege of witnessing the skilled craftsmanship of the local community as they showcase vibrant textiles, including intricately woven blankets and scarves of exceptional quality.
The ascent to Wacahuasi Pass offers a moment of triumph as we reach the zenith of our expedition, surrounded by panoramic views that stir the soul. Following this feat, we’ll descend towards the tranquil Auroray Lake, where a well-deserved lunch awaits.
Our descent continues, guiding us past the enchanting Yuraq Lake, until we finally arrive at our destination for the day, the Misky Uno campsite (3680 m/12,073 ft). Here, as the sun dips below the horizon, we’ll reflect on the day’s journey, filled with challenges overcome and memories made against the backdrop of Peru’s breathtaking beauty.

DAY 3: MISKYUNO, YANAHUARA, OLLANTAYTAMBO AND AGUAS CALIENTES
We’ll embark on a leisurely journey along the tranquil paths of Mantanay Valley, where nature’s splendor unfolds in every direction. Enveloped by lush vegetation and serenaded by the gentle babble of streams nourished by cascading glacial waterfalls, we’ll immerse ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of our surroundings.
Our trek leads us to Yanahuara (3050 m/10,006 ft), where we’ll pause for an early lunch, savoring the flavors of the region before continuing our expedition. From there, we’ll journey to Ollantaytambo, where an afternoon train ride awaits to take us away to the enchanting town of Aguas Calientes (2040 m/6,692 ft).
As dusk descends upon Aguas Calientes, we’ll settle in for a restful night, eagerly anticipating the adventures that await us amidst the wonders of Machu Picchu.

DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU TOUR AND BACK TO CUSCO
Following an early breakfast at the hotel, we embark on a scenic half-hour bus ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu (2400 m/7,874 ft), the gateway to this legendary citadel.
Prepare for an immersive journey as we commence our walking tour of Machu Picchu. Led by an expert guide, you’ll unravel the mysteries of this ancient Inca marvel, exploring its stone structures, temples, and iconic landmarks. Through captivating storytelling, your guide will breathe life into Machu Picchu’s history, providing invaluable insights into its cultural significance.
Our comprehensive tour typically concludes around 10:00 AM, allowing ample time for you to further explore the wonders of Machu Picchu within your designated time slot (circuit 1 or 2), as stipulated by the Peruvian government regulations implemented in 2021. Please note that separate tickets are required for additional trails, such as Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain.
After the enriching guided tour, we’ll descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where a delightful lunch awaits.
Later, we’ll board a comfortable train bound for Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, your private transportation will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Cusco, marking the end of an unforgettable journey to one of the world’s most iconic destinations.
